Dear FIX,
I will write again soon to remind us all of specific ModPo transitions this weekend. For now, early this Friday morning here in Philadelphia USA, I will wish you a fine Friday and hope that you can use a little time today or tonight to catch up, if you need to do so, on your readings and forum discussions.
This weekend we will make the transition to week 5 (chapters 3, 4, 5 & 6) and we will make the transition from writing and submitting essay #2 to peer review. Get ready to review each other's essays! The response last time was so generous.
The audio introduction to week 5 is already available, linked in the main syllabus at the top of chapter 3 readings.
Next week we will join together on Thursday, October 11, at 11:45 AM eastern time, to watch a discussion of Robert Frost's "Mending Wall." I will host a discussion/"debate" with four or five contemporary poets. We will send out instructions for joining the webcast later. Meantime, you can look at the event description here: http://writing.upenn.edu/wh/calendar/1012.php#11.
More soon from me. The response to Stein - obviously, she's quite a challenge for many - has been exciting, intrepid and - for me - very gratifying. Thank you for the good work and the good thinking, as usual.
Best wishes,
Al
